We’re looking for a highly experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and sustain complex, mission-critical networks. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of hands-on experience engineering and operating complex IP networks, with expertise in routing and switching, network security, and cloud-integrated architectures.
 
The location of this job is Herndon, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • Network Architecture & Design: Design, implement, and manage complex enterprise and service-provider scale IP networks spanning LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.
  • Routing & Switching: Plan, configure, and optimize dynamic routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and IS-IS; implement and tune advanced switching features including STP, LACP, VTP, and 802.1Q trunking.
  • MPLS & Transport Services: Design and deliver MPLS/BGP transport services and manage integrations between service providers and customer environments.
  • Network Security: Harden network infrastructure and enforce security controls including next-generation firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, network segmentation, and Zero Trust principles; serve as a collaborative partner to Cybersecurity teams.
  • Automation & DevOps: Automate provisioning, configuration management, and validation using tools such as Ansible, Python, and Terraform; contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Networking: Implement and support SD-WAN, SDN, and network virtualization (NFV) solutions; architect and manage cloud networking environments across AWS, Azure, and/or on-premises hybrid deployments.
  • Network Access Control: Implement and manage Network Access Control (NAC) technologies to enforce endpoint compliance policies and control access to sensitive network segments.
  • Operations & Incident Response: Serve as the Tier 3/4 escalation point for complex network incidents; perform root cause analysis, lifecycle maintenance, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Technical Documentation & Briefings: Produce and maintain network designs, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, change management documentation, and after-action reports; present technical findings and recommendations.
  • Mentorship & Standards: Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the development of organizational engineering standards, playbooks, and best practices.

Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-grade IP networks
  • Deep expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS) and switching technologies (STP, LACP, VTP, 802.1Q)
  • Proficiency with Cisco platforms (routers, switches, ASA/Firepower firewalls); experience with additional vendors (Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba) a plus
  • Experience designing and operating secure network architectures including firewall policy, VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL), ACLs, and network segmentation
  • Demonstrated experience with network automation tools and scripting (Ansible, Python, or similar); familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Experience with SD-WAN/SDN solutions and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
  • Familiarity with NAC platforms (e.g., Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass) and endpoint access control policy enforcement
  • Ability to produce clear and thorough technical documentation, network diagrams, and design presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • US citizenship and an active [Clearance Level] security clearance required

Desired Experience:
  • Active CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent professional network engineering certification
  • Experience with MPLS transport services and inter-provider BGP peering
  • Background operating satellite, wireless, or tactical communications networks in support of government or military missions
  • Familiarity with voice and video over IP (VoIP/VTC) infrastructure including SIP, H.323, and QoS engineering
  • Experience hardening networks to meet security standards and supporting system accreditation processes (RMF/ICD 503)
  • Exposure to IPv6 design and dual-stack migration planning
  • Prior experience with network forensics, packet analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump), and supporting incident response or intrusion analysis activities
  • Experience with large-scale multi-tenant or high-availability network environments in a cleared government or IC context
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs and DoD/IC network security compliance frameworks

We’re seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in supporting and evolving our enterprise network infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing system-level network architectures, enforcing security boundaries, and supporting datacenter virtualization. This position requires deep expertise in CAN/MAN/LAN environments, packet capture and analysis tools, and a strong command of the TCP/IP protocol stack, routing and switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access control mechanisms.

Responsibilities:
  • Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
  • Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.

Desired Experience:

  • A strong understanding of High Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Infiniband and low-latency interconnects in HPC clusters
  • Familiarity with RDMA, QoS tuning, and network fabric optimization for compute-intensive workloads
  • Working knowledge of FiberChannel (FC) SAN, iSCSI, and data throughput tuning
  • Experience integrating storage networks with HPC compute nodes

The Network Engineer Level 3 provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program. This role supports the implementation and enforcement of information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies and maintains the operational security posture of assigned systems.
The ISSO assists with security authorization activities in compliance with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and applicable DoD and ODNI policies.

Responsibilities-The Level 3 Network Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools.
  • Develops algorithms used in modules or incorporated into models associated with the research and development of technologies and systems.
  • Ensures that all material received is inspected for evidence of tampering and, if any is found, submits a report of suspected physical incident immediately.
  • Configure and maintain organization's network diagrams and accreditations.
  • Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulations.

  • Coordinate with the system engineering and dataflow efforts to ensure proper mission operations to minimize down time.
  • Design solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test and provide ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologies.
  • Applies Network Acceleration techniques such as Riverbed.

Requirements:
  • Twelve (12) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. 
  • Certifications: An IAT level III baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.

The Network Engineer Level 3 performs network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and an additional two (2) years of experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for the Master's degree.
  • Ten (10) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculum is required.
  • An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
  • Cisco certification is not required.

OPS Consulting is seeking experienced Language Analysts to provide language and cultural expertise while performing tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations.
  • Language skills must be in one of the following:
    • Chinese-Mandarin
  • Perform audio translation and/or [text] translation from the required language(s) into idiomatic, standard American English. 
  • Ability to comprehend written and/or spoken material in the required language that includes references and vocabulary related to common social situations and everyday life in countries where the language is widely spoken.
  • Understanding of broad vocabulary and commonly spoken forms of the required language. 
Required Experience:
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree
  • ILR Skill Level minimum 2 with at least one 3 in Listening and Reading
Security Clearance:
  • A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure solutions in AWS environments.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar frameworks.
  • Support deployment and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes or similar technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of custom software components and integration of open-source solutions to meet mission needs.

Requirements:

  • Mid-level candidates: 5-8 years of relevant experience

  • SME-level candidates: 14+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development (Python, Go, or similar languages)
  • Experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS
  • Proficient with Linux systems administration, networking, and shell scripting (Bash/Shell)
  • Experience with Kubernetes or related container orchestration technologies
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and reliability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • US citizenship with an active Secret clearance; will also accept Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • Must be able to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire
  • Must be available to work on-site 4-5 days per week; flexibility is required to align with customer needs

We are seeking a Research Project Manager in College Park, MD to support a mission-driven research program. This role is responsible for the successful execution of contract cost, schedule, and performance, while serving as the primary interface between government stakeholders and internal teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), Government Program Manager, and contractor leadership
  • Oversee and manage contract performance, including cost, schedule, and technical execution
  • Support program efforts across cost management, schedule estimation and tracking, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance
  • Direct technical resources and communicate program progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders
  • Prepare, review, and present technical documentation and program status updates
  • Provide recommendations to development teams on technical and programmatic requirements
  • Develop solutions to meet technical and programmatic objectives
  • Draft statements of work (SOWs) from government requirements
  • Coordinate with researchers to develop and execute research project plans
  • Analyze and present forecasts, including financial, schedule, and performance data
  • Prepare and deliver monthly program status reviews and briefings to Government PMs
  • Participate in outreach activities (e.g., symposia, technical events)
  • Collaborate across Government and Contractor teams to address urgent program challenges
  • Develop financial plans and support budget execution for research programs
  • Monitor contract-level financial and technical performance and provide recommendations based on actuals vs. plan

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Program or Project Manager supporting research programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
