Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (including General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security).

Skill Level I

Responsibilities:

The Hardware Design Engineer (HDE) designs and tests new integrated circuits and hardware components for a wide variety of signal processing applications and research. The Hardware Design Engineer (HDE) shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Assist with designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products
  • Communicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion
  • Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, able to be manufactured, and reliable
  • Apply ASIC or FPGA place and route (P&R) tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs

  • Lead the designs of new products and processes and improve and maintain existing products
  • Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers
  • Perform the de-processing of electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures and develops improved procedures
  • Direct and check the work of other hardware design engineers
  • Act as internal consultant providing technical guidance on most complex projects
  • Develop novel procedures for reverse engineering of new component types
  • Oversee the de-processing of electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures

Requirements:
  • Level 1-Three (3) years’ experience as a HDE in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering of the same is required. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Level 2-Seven (7) years’ experience as a HDE in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering of the same is required. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Level 3-Twelve (12) years’ experience as a HDE in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering of the same is required. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering from an accredited college or university is required.

The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) provides leadership and oversight for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s Information Assurance program. This role is responsible for implementing and enforcing security policies, maintaining the operational security posture of assigned systems, and supporting security authorization activities in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and applicable DoD requirements. The ISSM partners closely with engineering, operations, and government stakeholders to ensure secure, compliant, and mission-aligned environments.

  • Provide management oversight for information assurance and cybersecurity programs
  • Coordinate implementation of IT security policies and security control requirements
  • Manage and maintain the operational security posture of systems and enclaves
  • Oversee vulnerability management and risk assessment activities
  • Manage configuration control and security-related change management processes
  • Assess and document security impacts of system modifications
  • Oversee preparation and review of SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, and authorization packages
  • Support and guide security authorization activities under RMF

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) provides comprehensive support to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems across the program. This role is responsible for implementing and enforcing security policies, maintaining the operational security posture of information systems, and ensuring compliance with federal standards and organizational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the program’s Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity posture by developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and maintenance of security documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
  • Evaluate security solutions to ensure compliance with requirements for processing classified information.
  • Maintain configuration management (CM) of security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware, ensuring all changes are tracked and evaluated for security impact.
  • Provide daily support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in maintaining appropriate security posture for systems, programs, and enclaves.
  • Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments to support certification and accreditation processes.
  • Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms for assigned systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and enforce IT security programs, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, upgrades, and security controls for workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, and network devices.
  • Develop and maintain documentation in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies, supporting ongoing NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance.
  • Serve as the approval authority for information systems under assigned control.

Qualifications

Experience: Ten (10) years of experience as an ISSO on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. Experience must include at least two (2) of the following areas:
    • Current security tools and techniques
    • Hardware/software security implementation

We are looking for an Information Systems Security Officer to join a growing team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program. This role supports the implementation and enforcement of information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies and maintains the operational security posture of assigned systems.
The ISSO assists with security authorization activities in compliance with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and applicable DoD and ODNI policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Support implementation and enforcement of information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
  • Maintain operational security posture for assigned systems or programs
  • Assist with management of security aspects of information systems and perform day-to-day security operations
  • Evaluate security solutions to ensure compliance with classified processing requirements
  • Perform vulnerability and risk assessment activities
  • Support configuration management (CM) of security-relevant hardware, software, and firmware
  • Manage changes to systems and assess associated security impacts
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, and supporting authorization documentation
  • Track user identification and authentication mechanisms
  • Support system authorization activities under RMF

Requirements:
Skill Level 2:
  • Eight (8) years of combined work-related experience in IT, cybersecurity, or security authorization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering, or related discipline
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, four (4) additional years of relevant work-related experience may be substituted
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 compliance with IAM Level I required

Skill Level 3:
  • Ten (10) years of combined work-related experience in IT, cybersecurity, or security authorization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering, or related discipline
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, four (4) additional years of relevant work-related experience may be substituted
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 compliance with IAM Level I required
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
