Swift is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Herndon, VA. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying and maintaining multiple development teams’ AWS infrastructure along with utilizing CloudFormation and Ansible to automate the deployment of the entire infrastructure. They will manage all scripts and templates in GitHub utilizing git for version control, assist security with implementing security controls to ensure compliance, and actively monitor servers and infrastructure for issues while setting up and maintaining Jenkins pipelines.

Requirements: 
  • 3+ years of relevant DevOps experience
  • Experience managing Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs) and auto-scale groups with AWS EC2
  • Experience setting up alarms, dashboards, and alerts with AWS CloudWatch
  • Experience managing files and permissions in AWS S3
  • Experience building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation using YAML templates
  • Strong Linux troubleshoots skills
  • Bash scripting experience
  • Ability to set up, build, and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience using Ansible for server automation
  • Strong knowledge of git and version control for IaC in GitHub
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Experience:
  • Setting up API Gateway and AWS Lambda functions
  • Experience working with SQS and SNS

Responsibilities:

Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic program in a world-class operations facility. The program requires a candidate who can support a broad range of fast-paced, quick reaction program requirements. The Engineer will provide electrical systems commissioning and energy related services for all phases of new construction projects as well as retro-commissioning, energy auditing, energy modeling, and monitoring-based commissioning of existing facilities. They will work with mechanical engineering and software controls to plan, draw, and implement the installation and recap of IT infrastructures. Candidates in this position will travel up to 25-30% OCONUS.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for multiple electrical systems, both CONUS and OCONUS, to include analysis and reporting of electrical data and metrics
  • Maintain documentation pertaining to the various projects, design drawings, technical reports, and engineering activities
  • Oversee functionality and provide engineering analysis for the Customer’s mission critical OCONUS facility

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of electrical engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited ABET University in Electrical Engineering or other STEM-related field
  • Analyze data from the site’s monitoring system to assist design development, site expansion capabilities, or determining inefficiencies
  • Ability to calculate and develop power requirements for either new or existing facilities
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical equipment to include but not limited to; Medium/Low Voltage Unit Substations, Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS), Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), medium/low voltage distribution
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and Sequence of Operations for electrical and control systems
  • Ability to review construction blueprints, drawings, and submittals
  • Develop and execute preventative and/or predictive maintenance plans for mission critical equipment
  • Ability to interpret and design electrical one-line and control wiring diagrams, and electrical coordination studies

Job Description

Swift is looking for an Enterprise Architect responsible for delivery of customer-focused software and IT projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position works closely with the Customer to help set the technical direction for the department. The ideal architect will advise on a scalable, hybrid cloud integration for the program and support ongoing innovation to the data environment. The role requires collaboration with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, project managers, and other engineering groups. These groups provide support in the areas of data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL), data mapping, analytics, operations, databases, and maintenance of data and associated systems. This position is open in either Tysons Corner, VA or Warrenton, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • Primarily strategic role with selective hands-on involvement to maintain and validate architectural integrity.
  • While largely strategic, ensure architectural integrity through implementation, including review and oversight during delivery phases. 
  • Lead development of long-term plans for scalable, resilient infrastructure across cloud, on-prem, networking, storage, and compute domains.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable architectural initiatives understood across the organization. 
  • Provide technical direction and oversight to infrastructure architects, engineers, and cross-functional project teams.

We are looking for an The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technician Level 2 to join a dynamic team in College Park, MD.

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technician Level 2 supports and manages Occupational Safety and Health programs in compliance with OSHA regulations, the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, and other applicable standards. This role ensures a safe and compliant laboratory and workplace environment through proactive monitoring, inspections, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain environmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) in accordance with applicable guidelines.
  • Identify, assess, and address environmental safety and health concerns across the workplace.
  • Maintain and monitor hazardous chemical inventories and ensure proper tracking of all materials entering the lab environment.
  • Conduct routine workplace safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Coordinate with project leaders to develop and implement remediation plans for identified health and safety risks.
  • Ensure availability and accuracy of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) prior to introducing substances into the work environment.
  • Serve as a liaison with Occupational Health, Environmental & Safety Services (OHESS) and other regulatory bodies.
  • Assist scientific and technical staff in developing SOPs that incorporate safe work practices.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring proper documentation and reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled in compliance with safety standards.
  • Monitor and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Oversee routine and post-incident decontamination procedures.
  • Maintain and distribute safety-related documentation and guidance to staff.
  • Coordinate with emergency services as needed in response to incidents.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Natural Resources, Public Health, or Environmental Health from an accredited institution.
  • 7 years of relevant experience in environmental protection, safety, and health services.
    • A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
    • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted (total of 11 years required).
  • Hazardous Material Manager Certification (required).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, CFR, and DoD safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations in regulated environments.
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Requirements:

The Hardware Design Engineer (HDE) designs and tests new integrated circuits and hardware components for a wide variety of signal processing applications and research. Designs, documents, and develops code (to include firmware) for digital signal processors or other programmable hardware devices such as Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware. Analyzes the function of existing integrated circuits and hardware components for the purpose of reverse engineering the hardware and firmware. Conducts the necessary hardware engineering and related functions to modify and adapt vendor-manufactured hardware to meet special Government needs and contingencies.

The Hardware Design Engineer (HDE) shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Assist with designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products
  • Communicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion
  • Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, able to be manufactured, and reliable
  • Apply ASIC or FPGA place and route (P&R) tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs
  • Develop and maintain documentation for the P&R design flows
  • Assist with de-processing electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures
  • Design new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products
  • Work with tool and library vendors to develop solutions for designers' P&R design challenges
  • Perform the de-processing of electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures
  • Integrate new P&R tools, P&R tool updates, and ASIC or FPGA design libraries into Government's computer aided design environment, documents the use of those tools and libraries, and Assist other physical designers to successfully complete their specific P&R design tasks
  • Lead the designs of new products and processes and improve and maintain existing products
  • Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers
  • Perform the de-processing of electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures and develops improved procedures
  • Direct and check the work of other hardware design engineers
  • Act as internal consultant providing technical guidance on most complex projects
  • Develop novel procedures for reverse engineering of new component types
  • Oversee the de-processing of electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures

Requirements:
  • Level 1-Three (3) years’ experience as a HDE in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering of the same is required. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Level 2-Seven (7) years’ experience as a HDE in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering of the same is required. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
