We are looking for a Cyber Defense Analyst 2 to join a growing team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

The Cyber Defense Analyst (Level 2) performs advanced network monitoring, threat analysis, and intrusion detection in support of enterprise defense operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced manual threat hunting
  • Conduct PCAP and packet-level analysis
  • Perform network traffic, protocol, and netflow analysis
  • Analyze malicious activity and identify exploited weaknesses
  • Correlate enterprise security events for situational awareness
  • Understand IDS/IPS tuning and Snort filters
  • Identify Command and Control (C2) indicators
  • Detect host- and network-based intrusions

Requirements:
  • Four (4) years of demonstrated experience as a Cyber Defense Analyst in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. A technical bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two (2) years of CDA experience.
  • 1 year TCP/IP fundamentals
  • 1 year experience with network traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump)
  • 2 years SIEM experience (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, Kibana)
  • 2 years network and threat analysis experience
  • Splunk “Fundamentals I” course completion
  • DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst baseline certification
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level I or II
  • CE certification
  • 2 years maintaining or managing cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Job Description

Swift is looking for a Cyber Security Project Engineer to support a dynamic program in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will support a group level security and architecture team responsible for safeguarding highly sensitive, co mingled data across multiple network environments. You will help research, design, develop, accredit, and maintain complex security systems, applying deep technical expertise to ensure the protection and resilience of the Customer’s most sensitive information.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the Authorization and Assessment (A&A) process for all systems in the Customer's portfolio across all network fabrics.
  • Serve as the focal point for responding to Computer Network Attacks (CNAs), malicious code incidents, data spills, and other cyber incidents.
  • Track Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) through closure, including regular reporting.
  • Understand and clearly articulate policy engine rules related to the Customer's portfolio.
  • Act as a Point of Contact (POC) for IT operations.
  • Participate in a Customer working group that handles extremely sensitive data and track/optimize cloud costs, including developing cost models for IC and DoW partners.
  • Support the Customer’s technical forums and review boards.
  • Review proposed technical solutions and architectures, provide findings, and research potential solutions, including producing whitepapers.
  • Stay familiar with Cloud Service Provider offerings and evaluate them for use with highly sensitive data.
  • Apply expertise in encryption techniques and products to determine the best solution for specific problem sets.
  • Serve as the focal point for cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain an in‑depth technical understanding of the Customer’s tools and assist external partners with adoption and use.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience accrediting systems that handle extremely sensitive data
  • Demonstrated experience accrediting systems on multiple network fabric
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, or maintaining systems that handle extremely sensitive data
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, or maintaining systems on multiple network fabrics
  • Demonstrated experience with Cloud Service Provider (CSP) offerings, specifically AWS, Azure, and Oracle
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing cloud hosted systems for cost and performance efficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, or maintaining systems used globally
  • Demonstrated experience with hybrid cloud architectures
  • Demonstrated experience designing or maintaining on prem architectures
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience on Service of Common Concern (SoCC) programs.

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field. 
  • Experience using Splunk is required with completed certifications being highly desirable.

The Data Science Software Engineer will design, develop, and prototype analytics solutions and tools that support compliance and business processing functions. This role will focus on creating automated approaches to streamline compliance processes, enhancing existing capabilities, and researching, integrating, and validating Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions within an R&D environment. We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to support mission-critical intelligence operations. In this role, you will apply advanced data science, analytics, and intelligence tradecraft to complex GEOINT and multi-INT mission sets. You will work alongside integrated intelligence teams to modernize analytic workflows, develop repeatable analytic pipelines, and operationalize advanced methodologies that directly support national security objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep analytic expertise, strong technical leadership, and proven experience supporting Intelligence Community customers in operational environments. This position is in Doral, FL.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Apply advanced analytic methodologies to answer complex intelligence questions across GEOINT and multi-INT domains
  • Develop, maintain, and manage structured and unstructured analytic datasets supporting intelligence production
  • Design and implement machine learning and statistical models (e.g., regression, clustering, classification, time-series analysis) to support mission requirements
  • Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory analysis to prepare datasets for advanced analytics
  • Evaluate model performance, conduct error analysis, and communicate analytic results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Operationalize analytic models into scalable, repeatable workflows and production pipelines
  • Support GEOINT analysis using imagery, geospatial, and spatio-temporal datasets to identify trends, relationships, and mission-relevant events
  • Conduct multi-INT research to augment imagery analysis and provide operational context
  • Collaborate with cross-functional intelligence and engineering teams in support of enterprise-level analytic environments
  • Identify capability gaps, system enhancements, and emerging technologies that improve mission delivery
  • Provide technical and analytic leadership to teams solving complex intelligence problems
 
Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (a combination of experience, certifications, and training may be considered)
  • Demonstrated Intelligence Community experience supporting national security missions
  • Expertise in advanced analytic methodologies and documented analytic tradecraft
  • Experience in data mining, database manipulation, and maintaining analytic datasets
  • Proficiency with Python and/or R and scientific computing libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas)
  • Experience applying machine learning or statistical modeling techniques to mission datasets
  • Understanding of modern data science best practices, including model governance, reproducibility, transparency, and lifecycle management
  • Proven ability to communicate analytic findings clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
  • Experience working in collaborative, mission-focused team environments
 
Desired Experience:
  • Experience building and maintaining GEOINT, SIGINT, or OSINT datasets aligned to mission needs
  • Experience supporting DoD and Intelligence Community reporting, briefings, and formal analytic products
  • Proficiency with analytic and visualization tools such as Tableau, MATLAB, JEMA, MapLarge, Brewlytics, or similar
  • Familiarity with FADE tools including MIST, INTELBOOK, LINX, and WATCH BOX
  • Experience extracting, modeling, and visualizing multi-INT datasets for descriptive and predictive analysis
  • Knowledge of Structured Observation Management tools and Object-Based Production methodologies
  • Experience applying deep learning or computer vision techniques (e.g., CNNs, segmentation, object detection) to GEOINT data
  • Familiarity with distributed analytics frameworks such as Spark, Dask, or Ray
  • Experience with API-driven ingestion, ETL pipelines, or microservice-based analytic architectures
