We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join a dynamic team in College Park, MD.

The Level 3 System Administrator is responsible for supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise Information Technology (IT) systems and infrastructure. This role provides advanced technical support across a wide range of systems, including client/server environments, storage, network devices, and mobile platforms, while ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Manage daily operations, configuration, and performance of IT systems across enterprise environments.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability of client/server, storage, network, and mobile devices.
  • Assist users with system access, functionality, and issue resolution.
  • Communicate status updates and escalation details to agency management and internal stakeholders.
  • Support dispatch systems and hardware-related issues through resolution.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installation, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Maintain system integrity and configure network components to support reliable operations.
  • Optimize system performance and resource utilization, including capacity planning and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot complex system, hardware, and software integration issues.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets and system issues.
  • Support system design, mission architecture, and associated hardware solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of system administration interdependencies within Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments.
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues related to server hardware, applications, and system integrations.
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
    • An additional 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong experience with UNIX and Windows systems administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex IT systems and support enterprise environments.
  • Experience with system performance tuning, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and system dependencies.
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join a team providing managerial, design, engineering, architectural, technical, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise IT service management system in Annapolis-Junction, MD.

The System Administrator provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Responsibilities-The System Administrator shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Provide configuration management, implementation, and sustainment of compliance with applicable system security controls.
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Implement IAVA security patches and insure patch status is recorded in appropriate systems of record.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
  • Configure and manage UNIX, Linux and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Owner (ISO) regarding system changes as part of the Change and Configuration Management Process.
  • Support the ISO by completing required milestones of Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M)as directed and coordinate completion status with the ISSO to reflect status within the Source System of Record for Security Authorizations.
  • Ensure IT Assets remain compliant with Identity & Access Control Management (ICAM) policy.
  • Provide Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

This role is ideal for a motivated IT professional with a passion for system reliability, performance optimization, and supporting mission-critical infrastructure. As a key member of our technical operations group, the SA will:

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage enterprise-grade operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Rocky Linux, and Windows. Perform OS installation, patching, and tuning; troubleshoot system and network components; and implement enhancements to improve reliability, performance, and scalability across diverse environments.
  • Support the description of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
  • Support and maintain HPC tools such as Slurm, PBS, or Grid Engine
  • Manage distributed file systems like Lustre or GPFS, and troubleshoot I/O performance issues
  • Monitor and maintain high-speed interconnects such as InfiniBand, Slingshot, or Omni-Path

Requirements:
Level 1-At least five (5) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Responsibilities-The System Administrator (SA) shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Experience with RedHat Linux and Linux Volume Manager
  • Experience provisioning, configuring, patching, securing, hardening, and managing systems
  • Experience working with VMWare
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Knowledge of IPv4 Networking
  • Experience with containerization
  • Experience with Kickstart or PXE
  • Experience developing and implementing system configuration scripts

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology and 10+ years of experience with systems administration
  • 15+ years of experience with systems administration in lieu of a degree

This role is ideal for a motivated IT professional with a passion for system reliability, performance optimization, and supporting mission-critical infrastructure. As a key member of our technical operations group, the SA will:

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage enterprise-grade operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Rocky Linux, and Windows. Perform OS installation, patching, and tuning; troubleshoot system and network components; and implement enhancements to improve reliability, performance, and scalability across diverse environments.
  • Support the description of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
  • Support and maintain HPC tools such as Slurm, PBS, or Grid Engine
  • Manage distributed file systems like Lustre or GPFS, and troubleshoot I/O performance issues
  • Monitor and maintain high-speed interconnects such as InfiniBand, Slingshot, or Omni-Path

Requirements:

Level 1-At least five (5) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Level 2-Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or 
university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s 
degree.

Level 3- Fifteen (15) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or

Desired:
  • Experience supporting and maintain HPC architectures including Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) and Symmetric Multiprocessing (SMP) systems to enable scalable, high-throughput computing.
  • Experience integrating and managing Special Purpose Devices (SPD) such as FPGAs, ASICs, and GPUs, ensuring seamless hardware/software interaction and optimal performance.
  • Experience collaborating with software integration engineers and technical experts to enhance system-level performance, scalability, and reliability through co-design and cross-functional optimization
 
Security Clearance:
  • A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator III to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise Information Technology (IT) systems. This role is responsible for managing IT infrastructure and associated processes, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security across the environment.
The Systems Administrator III will provide comprehensive support for day-to-day operations, including monitoring and resolving issues across client, server, storage, network, and mobile device platforms. This position handles both Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, performing problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution while ensuring timely communication of status updates to agency leadership and internal stakeholders.
Additionally, the role includes supporting dispatch systems and hardware-related issues, maintaining active involvement through resolution.
